DIY paper lilies

Live lilies are incredibly beautiful, but, alas, they are short-lived, and when decorating a celebration or a gift, you understand that it takes a matter of hours, especially if the flowers are without water. But you can make artificial flowers that will look no less impressive, but will please you much longer. Try to make paper lilies with your own hands.

colored paper lilies

To work, you do not need any special skills and materials, this master class is quite simple.

Required materials and tools:

  1. Sheets of colored paper.
  2. Crepe paper.
  3. The wire is thin.
  4. Scissors.
  5. Glue.
  6. Hole puncher.

Before starting work, samples of flower parts should be made. You can make these templates yourself or print diagrams from the Internet. You will need both petals and leaves. We cut out the leaves, of course, from green paper, and for the petals it would be nice to pick up pinkish marbled paper.

For the plausibility of the flower, you also need to make such details as the pistil, which we cut out of brown paper, and stamens, yellow paper is suitable for them.

Finished petals need to be bent lengthwise in half. Tighten the top a little with scissors. Make small cuts at the bottom of each petal with scissors. The resulting ponytails are slightly crossed with each other and fixed in this position with glue. Using a hole punch, each petal needs to be perforated.

We pass the wire with stamens through the hole in the petals and form a cup of the flower. Be sure to secure with glue.

Now you need to make a stem. For it, you need a piece of green crepe paper up to two centimeters wide.

The edge of this paper tape is attached to the base of the flower cup, and the rest is wound in a spiral around the stem wire.

The leaves can be glued on after wrapping the entire stem with paper or attached to the stem during wrapping. The leaves, like the petals, need to be twisted a little with scissors.

Such an easy-to-make lily is well suited both for decorating a gift and for decorating various holidays and celebrations.

Artificial lilies from corrugated paper

Flowers made of corrugated colored paper look very realistic. These lilies are a little more difficult to make, but here is a detailed step-by-step instruction, so this technique should not cause any particular difficulties.

For work it is necessary to prepare the following materials:

  1. Paper corrugated salad, green, white colors.
  2. Pastel oil pink and salad colors.
  3. Pastel dry pink.
  4. Acrylic black paint.
  5. Semolina grits are orange.
  6. Lurex thread.
  7. Wire cut 30 cm.
  8. 18 pieces of wire (length 20 cm).
  9. 4 pieces of wire (15 cm).
  10. 27 pieces of wire (8 cm).

Step by step creation of a flower

Take a whole roll of corrugated paper and cut off the edge from it to a width of about one and a half centimeters.

First, let's make the pistil of the flower. We twist two pieces of wire eight centimeters together. We wrap the resulting part with salad-colored paper, twisting it diagonally and fixing it with glue. We bend the tip so that a loop is formed.

From a piece of lettuce-colored paper, the width of which is 1.5 centimeters, we form a flagellum. Cut off a piece two centimeters long. This piece of flagellum must be glued crosswise to the loop of the pestle blank. Glue the base of the loop with paper.

Next, we proceed to the manufacture of stamens. To do this, glue five pieces of wire along a length of eight centimeters in a spiral with strips of light green paper. One edge of the stamens must be bent at a right angle.

Lubricate each bent edge with glue and dip in orange semolina.

Looking at the photo of fresh lily flowers, you can see the stamens of yellow, orange, brown and even black, so Orange color decoy is not important.

Attach the stamens around the pistil with glue and wrap with thread. After fixing the thread, glue the junction with paper.

The next step is to create the petals. According to the scheme, cut out six petals to form a flower cup. Length parameters - 8.5 centimeters and width - 3.5 centimeters. One side needs to be painted pink, and along the middle line - light green. Slightly stretch each petal in length.

Wrap six pieces of wire 20 centimeters long with a third of white paper and two-thirds of green. These are blanks for the flower stalk. Glue the petals with the unpainted side to the white edge of the pedicels.

We collect a cup of a flower. To do this, at the base of the middle, three petals are glued with the painted side inward. Three more in a checkerboard pattern between the first row. Everything is fixed with lurex thread.

Bend the edge of each petal and apply dry pink pastel on them. With the help of black paint and a brush, put dots on the petals.

Wrap a 30 cm long wire with green paper and attach a flower cup to it. Mask the attachment point with green paper and glue the leaves.

Thus, make three more flowers.

Making a flower is a somewhat time-consuming process, but the result fully compensates for the effort expended. You will receive beautiful, real-like lilies that can be used to decorate an interior or a gift.

- a great gift. After all, it is beautiful and delicious! Try, for example, to give such a bouquet to the teacher. Why not?

Today we offer you a master class on making lilies from chocolates and corrugated paper with their own hands. It is likely that many will appreciate such lilies much more than real flowers. The problem with lilies is their strong smell. They are beautiful, but the aroma can cause a headache, from which even airing will not save. But sweet edible lilies are safe in this regard. So feel free to give them to anyone!

To make lilies we need:

  • candy in a blue wrapper
  • green wire (or regular wire and green thread)
  • corrugated paper white color
  • blue mesh fabric or any other decorative elements

How to make a lily

We cut out the petals from corrugated paper (you can use stencils) and begin to carefully wrap the lower edge of the candy into them. Five petals for each will be enough.

Now we attach the wire. If you do not have green, then just wrap the green thread tightly around the regular one.

print Thanks, great tutorial +0

Now we can add pink tones to our petals. Corrugated paper lily is ready.

Video lesson

Hello again, dear readers of the Domovenok-Art blog! Probably few people would disagree with the statement that flowers are wonderful this is the very moment that can be described as a vivid manifestation of the creativity of Nature. They give mood, transform our perception. And it is not surprising that it is flowers created by nature or human hands that accompany our holidays: simple bouquets, potted plants or whole compositions - they are pleasant to give and receive.

Naturally, flowers have become one of the main elements of suite design. You have already seen on the Brownie-Art blog how flowers and other flowers are created. And today I will show how a lily is born from sweets. In this master class, I will try to describe in as much detail as possible the process of creating these beautiful and delicate flowers.

Candy lilies are made quite simply and, it seemed to me, much faster than the same roses. But what can I say, watch the master class and see for yourself.

To create candy lilies, we need:

  • crepe paper for petals and leaves;
  • sweets (best elongated);
  • green teip tape;
  • floral wire;
  • acrylic paint in brown or any other suitable contrasting color;
  • bamboo skewer;
  • scissors;
  • glue gun;
  • threads;
  • a piece of foil or polysilk.

How to make a candy lily

Preparation of candy lily elements

Let's start creating a lily from sweets by preparing the filling, that is, the candy itself. I used very small specimens - chocolate-covered almonds, as in a master class on. By the way, our foundation is formed in a similar way. We cut off the necessary length of the floral wire, the length of which will depend on your design idea regarding the use of the lily. The tip of the wire can be bent with pliers so that it does not damage the candy.

Now we place one end of the candy next to this hook (you can tuck the tail under the hook), and simply bend the second tail. Wrap it all in foil.

Now let's take a look at the candy lily petals. We cut off 6 rectangles measuring 6.5x3 cm. Using scissors, we give them the shape of petals. From below, I would recommend cutting a little more than shown in the photo, that is, making the bottom sharper.

We stretch each petal a little in the middle, thereby making the desired bend.

Now let's add realism. Acrylic paint and a sharp bamboo skewer will help us with this. We dip the skewer into the paint and, holding it horizontally and across the perforation, lightly go through each petal. Thus, only the protruding texture part is painted (photo 1).

Now we turn the skewer along the perforation and apply three to five thicker strips, as shown in photo 2.

And now, with the help of the tip, we draw points on the petal. And so with each petal. Let the paint dry.

In addition to the petals, we need to prepare the core of the candy lily. To make this element, we cut off a small strip of crepe paper (cut across the perforation) with a width 2 times greater than the height of the candy. The length of the strip should be such that you can wrap the candy blank 2-3 times.

Using scissors, we make a fringe on one side of this rectangle. The depth of the cuts is approximately 1/3 of the width of the strip.

Now you need to twist each element of the fringe and paint the tops with acrylic and a skewer. From below we make cloves in order to reduce the amount of paper at the base of the candy lily.

It remains to stretch this strip in the middle a little

Candy lily assembly

We wrap our blank with candy with this strip. We fix it at the base with a thread or a glue gun.

Now it's the turn of the candy lily petals. I attached them with hot glue. Evenly distribute the first three petals around the workpiece.

Then, between the petals of the first row, we glue the second three of the prepared elements. And to further make the lily of sweets more accurate, I also recommend tying it with a thread near the base.

Cut out sharp leaves from green paper. Now let's wrap them up.

The final stage is the winding of the stem of our lily. We start from the top of the flower - from the base. It is most convenient to wrap with teip tape. But if one is not available, you can get by with thin corrugated paper. Not far from the base, you need to fasten the first leaf, wrapping its lower part with teip tape. Then the second, third, etc. optional.

It remains to fix the petals. And now our candy lily is ready. By twisting several of these flowers, you can make a beautiful twig that will perfectly complement the main gift. And, of course, these lilies are great for creating candy bouquets, sweet arrangements. I showed one of these masterpieces of suite design.

And that's all for today! I hope this tutorial was helpful to you. Experiment with the color, coloring of the petals, and let your candy compositions bring joy, give pleasant emotions and positive!

All the best and brightest to you! See you soon! Your brownie Elena.

All kinds of news:

Delicious ideas for you.

The popularity of origami these days is growing more and more. This trend came to us from Japan. The simple folding of paper has become an art. One of my favorite pastimes was making paper flowers. An attractive option for many lovers of this business has become a water lily.

Lily can be snow-white, bright red, pink or yellow. She is the personification of nobility and spiritual purity. This flower is beautiful and whimsical. It is easy to reproduce on paper.

To create a figure you will need:

  • Scissors.
  • Glue.
  • Paper.
  • Pencil.

And now we will learn how to make an origami lily step by step. Place the piece of paper you will be using in front of you. Choose the color you like best. The paper must be A4.

It must be rolled up, as shown in the diagram. You should get a square. Cut off excess pieces and discard.

The square must be folded, as shown in the figure. We fold the lower edges towards the middle, and then unbend. We bend the upper corner down, unbend. You should see lines that will help you assemble the flower later.

The next step is to collect the petals. Take the bottom corner and fold it up. In the same way, it is necessary to fold the other corners of the figure. You may notice that your model has become smaller.

It's good if you have a simple pencil next to you. Take care of its availability in advance, it will greatly simplify your work. Straighten each petal with a pencil. Work with care so as not to tear or damage anything.

Look what you got! Now we string this bud on the stem. To make it, roll the paper tightly. According to this scheme, you can not be limited to one flower. Feel free to experiment with sizes, colors, types of paper.

If you are a beginner, remember: everything does not come at once. Over time, you will be able to create a whole bouquet of beautiful paper lilies.

Corrugated paper lily

And this master class will teach you how to create voluminous, unusual, delicate paper lilies that repeat the shape of a living plant one to one.

So, we begin a master class that will teach you how to make lilies from corrugated paper.

Before starting work, always check the availability of the necessary materials according to the list. This will make it easier to work in the future. After all, origami - it should be not only beautiful, but also neat.

For this you will need:

Take the lettuce-colored corrugated paper and cut it into pieces. One strip should be about 2 cm wide.

Measure a centimeter long end from it to make a loop. Take a lettuce paper strip and cut off a half-centimeter piece. Glue the cut off part obliquely to the “loop” part. Glue the lettuce strip to its base. This is the pestle detail.

Stamens are also made of wire. This requires several segments, for example, five pieces. They are also pasted over with lettuce stripes.

Now on each stamen it is necessary to bend the corners. Then grease these edges with glue and sprinkle with orange semolina. The stamens are ready. Their lower edges must be attached to the bottom of the pestle. It should turn out so that the upper edges stick out in different directions.

The place of attachment should be wrapped with lurex thread, and the edges should be tied up. We glue a lettuce strip on the thread and get the finished middle.

Now for work we take white corrugated paper. From it we will make flower petals. Each should be about 8.5 cm long and 3.5 cm wide. Next, you need to cut paper strips across the sheet, apply an oily pink pastel to each petal, paint in the middle with lettuce pastel.

Now from corrugated paper you need to cut strips up to 2 cm in width. Cut off strips of white and light green colors must be pasted over six pieces of wire. If one piece is 20 cm long, then 7 of them should be on white paper, and 13 on green. They are needed for the stem of the lily.

We attach three petals to the leg and the middle. Next, we wrap the thread around the place where the parts are attached. It turned out the first row of petals. So it is necessary to do with each row and attach the petals in a checkerboard pattern.

The petals must be turned inside out and painted pink. Draw dots with black paint.

Now let's make the petioles of lily leaves. To do this, cut strips along the green sheet. Their length should be about 8 cm, and the width should be up to 1.5 cm. We glue the wire with these strips and attach it to the stem.

One of the original and interesting origami is a diagram that shows how to make crepe paper lilies with candy. To do this, sweets must be placed inside the bud or strung on a toothpick or match, as shown in the figure.

Step by step creation of a lily from corrugated paper

Making a paper napkin shape

With do-it-yourself corrugated paper lilies, we figured it out. Now we suggest that you familiarize yourself with another type of folding paper lilies using napkins.

The resulting lilies can be used not only for collection or home decoration, but also for serving. holiday table. So, to create a do-it-yourself lily from paper napkins, we need:

  • White napkins - 40 pieces.
  • Paperclips.
  • Green napkins - 8 pieces.

First we need one green napkin. It needs to be folded in half. Fold the edges inward on all sides. Then bend again. Unfold the napkin and fold the two edges to the fold.

The same steps must be done with other napkins. The resulting figures are connected and fastened with a paper clip. Now we are working with a white napkin. We fold one edge with the other and bend to the middle. It is necessary to turn the figure over and bend the ends to the middle. Then fold into 2 pieces. The result should be a petal.

The same action must be done with green napkins. We take the first model, the green figure and insert it into the blank. Then we do the same with the white figure.

If everything is done correctly, then the result will please you. A lily made of paper with your own hands can be put in a prominent place in the house or presented to a loved one.

Attention, only TODAY!
